Travel to the Philippines
Planning to visit the Philippines?
If you have an existing relationship with a lovely Filipina lady and you want an Australian visa for her, then you will need to visit her in the Philippines. That’s how it works. Sooner or later, you will be on a plane heading to Manila, or maybe directly to Cebu, Davao or to Clark in Pampanga.
Why?
Because you won’t get a visa for her if you haven’t met in person.
- To get a tourist visa from Australia to Philippines for your Filipina girl, you need to demonstrate that you have an existing relationship that is genuine and that you want to spend time together in Australia enhancing that relationship. They will not accept that you are genuine if you haven’t made the effort to meet in person.
- To apply for a partner visa (spouse visa or fiancee visa), you need to have met in person. That’s not just policy, but is written in Australian migration law.
Other reasons?
If you wish to spend the rest of your life with this lady, then you should be trying to find out all about her and her culture, and you will never really know her without seeing where she came from. You should go and see where she came from and you should meet her family. This will be important to both of you. And the Philippines is a wonderful country full of kind and caring people. Again, this is all part of who she is and you should know these things as part of your existing relationship with her.
